A Life of Faith, Family, and Purpose

Allen Lund didn’t set out to be impressive. He set out to be faithful.

Over the course of his life, he built a billion-dollar company from the ground up—without debt, without shortcuts, and without ever compromising who he was. A devoted husband, father of six, and daily Mass-goer, Allen led with conviction in the boardroom and compassion in every interaction. He believed in people. He believed in principles. And above all, he believed in being good.

Told with clarity and heart, Be Good captures the story of a man whose life was marked not by ambition but by integrity. From humble beginnings to national influence, this biography offers a rare look at how discipline, humility, and faith can quietly shape an everyday man into an everyday saint.

A Note From the Lund Family:

“Monday Night Therapy.” This became the name affectionately bestowed on our weekly meeting with

Jenna. After getting everyone online, unmuted, and past the laughs and jokes, Jenna would get us

focused, begin asking pointed questions, and patiently listen to us with sincerity and curiosity that

made us want to continue talking for hours. A few weeks into this new routine, any initial doubts we

had about tackling a book project would shift to feelings of excitement, gratitude, and the realization

the Holy Spirit was guiding us along the way.

Jenna, you never met our dad, but you took what was in our hearts and minds and thoughtfully

weaved them into the chapters of this book. We are so grateful to you for your gift of storytelling and

the care you put into every page.

Tom Romano, you were the spark that set things in motion the day you invited David, Kenny, and

Eddie to lunch shortly after our dad passed away. As his close friend, often talking to him daily, you

were able to impart your wisdom to us that it would be important to the employees of Allen Lund

Company to know the namesake of their company and the man who was able to impact so many lives.

We appreciate the many friends, family, and ALC employees who took the time to share memories of

our dad. Without these stories, this book would not have been possible.

Bishop Matt, your fingerprints are on this book in the same way you touched our dad’s heart with your

steadfast friendship. Your guidance and support have been a true blessing in our lives.

Mathew Kelly and Dynamic Catholic, thank you for believing in our dad’s story. We couldn’t think of a

better partner to have as our publisher. We are grateful to be a small part of your “mission to create

resources to inspire people to rediscover Catholicism.”

Mom, although this book is about Dad, it is really about the life you built together. We’ve cherished the

opportunity this book created to reminisce, laugh, and cry with you each week. We love you and are

inspired by you every day. Also, thank you for only choosing to remember the positive things we did as

kids!

Dad, we miss you every day, and through these pages, we hope to honor your life, your faith, and your

legacy. We are proud to share your story and pray that everyone who reads this book will be enriched

with lessons from a life well lived. We love you and we will never forget what you taught us—work

hard, be good, and go to Mass.
